Rental Vehicles returning earlier than the scheduled time on the rental agreement will not receive a refund or a open credit. Alaska Vehicle Rentals does not, charge additional money for returning the vehicle early.

No travel allowed outside the continental United States. No travel to Canada or Mexico. Written authorization is required to travel outside the State of Alaska. If rental vehicle is driven outside State of Alaska with or without written office authorization there will be a $500.00 up-charge. Free mileage will be null and void.

Rental Rates are locked in and are guaranteed at the time of booking. Price Rental increases and Price Rental decreases will not affect the rate that you have booked at. If a lower rate becomes available, you may receive the lower rate if you are outside of 14 days of your pickup date. If you are within 14 days of your pickup date you must cancel and re-book the rental, cancellation fee of $100 will be applied.

If you have a Pending Reservation this will need be finalized through our office once we received the completed pdf form.

If you choose Airport pickup, I use a service called the Alaska Park Valet. I will send out a valet ticket number specific to your rental a few hours before your rental (this is due to dishonest renters that have picked up vehicles too early causing insurance liability issues). The valet is at no cost to you and runs 24/7. Here are the steps:

1. Claim your baggage
2. Call Alaska Park at 907-222-4002 to let them know you arrived, reference your ticket number (Ticket # TBD, normally sent out ~6 hours before your reservation time).
3. Walk out arrivals DOOR 6, use the crosswalk and head to the median where the shuttles/taxis park. They run 24/7.
4. The shuttle will take you to where the van is parked.
5. Your ticket number let’s them know which van you are there for and they should have the van pulled around and waiting for you.

This is an option. The charge for the waiver is as follows: $250 Deductible $26.95 per day/$188.65 per week $500 Deductible $21.95 per day/$153.65 per week $1000 Deductible $16.95 per day/$118.65 per week $2000 Deductible $14.95 per day/$104.65 per week

SUPPLEMENTAL LIABILITY INSURANCE (SLI): SUPPLEMENTAL LIABILITY INSURANCE IS REQUIRED.

This coverage extends your liability insurance up to one million dollars in the event of a third party claim against you in the event of an accident. All customers are required to carry a minimum of liability insurance with a minimum of $50,000 US in Bodily Injury coverage. International customers (Canada and US territories excluded) are required to purchase CDW coverage at a minimum.

Renter’s Contingency Liability Insurance = $20.00/day

Additional Driver’s = No Fee but I do need to make sure they upload each driver’s license and corresponding insurance policy

Car Seats / Booster Seats (Limited Availability – First Come First Serve Basis) = $49.00 each flat rate

Pickup Location (Default)  = Ted Stevens International Airport (ANC) Pickup via the Alaska Park Valet Shuttle (up to 14 people per rental; Shuttle brings you to your rental vehicle) = FREE

Dropoff Location (Default)  = Ted Stevens International Airport (ANC) Return via the Alaska Park Valet Shuttle (up to 14 people per rental; Once vehicle is returned to the Alaska Park Valet, they will shuttle you to your departure airline)  = FREE

Hotel Drop-Off within Anchorage only = $99.00

Hotel Pick-Up within Anchorage only = $99.00

One Way Rental To OR From Anchorage Train Depot 411 W 1st Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501 (Fee covers the delivery or retrieval of vehicle) = $50.00

One Way Rental To OR From Fairbanks, AK (Fee covers the delivery or retrieval of vehicle) = $750.00

One Way Rental To OR From Whittier, AK (Fee covers the delivery or retrieval of vehicle) = $350.00

One Way Rental To OR From Seward, AK (Fee covers the delivery or retrieval of vehicle) = $550.00

Mileage Allotment is 200 Miles per day (Example: 7 day rental = 1400 miles allowed).  Mileage overage is calculated by the daily rate divided by 200 (Example:  Daily rate $350.00 / 200 Miles = $1.75 per mile overage fee).

Cleaning

Cleaning Option –  Alaska Vehicle Rentals cleans the entire vehicle for you for $250.00 (this does not cover physical damage such as upholstery repairs, exterior frame/paint damages, broken seat belts, etc.)

Cleaning Deposit (Mandatory) – $250.00 cleaning deposit required but will be applied to your final bill if vehicle is returned in satisfactory condition (Vacuumed, trash removed and run through car wash)

Windshields

(Gravel Roads, excessive speeding and/or following too closely always contribute to windshield damage)

Rock chips that can be filled by a professional are $90 each

A crack that splinters out (cracks that begin to splinter and run across the windshield) are the cost of a full windshield replacement (FYI – smart windshields with navigation are $1000+)

Tires/Rims

(No gravel or shale roads as they will pop your tires and are always in an area with no cell phone service to call for roadside assistance).

Tire repairs (Flats, patches) = $80 each

Destroyed, damaged tires = Cost of replacement

Rims = Cost of replacement and possible cost of alignment

Hubcaps = Cost of replacing hubcaps

Our office will supply a emergency number at the time of rental should you need to speak with Alaska Vehicle Rentals outside of normal operating hours.

The Fuel Level will be checked and confirmed from our office staff at the time of rental. The CUSTOMER is required to bring the rental vehicle back with the same amount of Fuel as when rented. Fuel discrepancies will be billed up to $10.00 US per gallon and this rate will be reflected on van rental contracts.

Vehicles must be returned with the fuel tank: Full.

Fuel surcharges will apply. Price depends on current market. Ask at counter.

We are open from 8:30AM – 5:30PM AKST Monday through Sunday. Call our office for exact hours. We deliver on Sundays, and odd hours! We Go The Extra Mile To Earn Your Business.

We are not responsible for ANY belongings left behind in our vehicles.

Any Items found in our vehicles will be returned at YOUR expense.

No pets are allowed in any of our rental vehicles unless CRATED. It is the renters responsibility to ensure that the vehicle is clean and odor-free and has no signs of pet hair. Service animals are always allowed in Alaska Vehicle Rentals vehicles with proper notification and documentation.

A $75.00 cleanup fee will be assessed to any vehicle with any signs of pet transportation.

Use of vehicle is limited to your personal use.

You are not permitted to use the van to carry passengers or property for hire without prior authorization. To tow or push anything.

To be operated in a test, race or contest or on unpaved roads, or while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance or for an illegal purpose including the transportation of a controlled substance or contraband or outside of the U.S.A. I am prohibited from removing any equipment from the vehicle.

A violation of this paragraph automatically terminates my rental, makes me liable to you for loss of use, all the penalties, fines, forfeitures, liens and recovery and storage costs, including all related legal expenses.
